Idea in brief

The Parrotfish antifouling strategy is to use small antifouling drones to assess and remove biofouling at an early stage. Preventing growth before it becomes a big problem and keeping the hull clean and smooth.

The Parrotfish is customized to serve leisure boats. It is designed as a small, but powerful surface vessel (90cm in length) with the ambition to serve entire marinas and bay areas with many boats. Operated over the 4G & 5G cellular network.

Under the surface it carries a contactless cleaning module. We currently explore options such as Ultrasound, UV-light and laser as tools for preventing and removing early stage biofouling.

A boat owner goes for a swim and gives the hull a gentle scrub to remove biofilm. The ideal(?), but demanding way of doing it.
